Effects of 8-Week Tai Chi Chuan Practice on Mindfulness Level

Tai Chi Chuan (TCC) is a common mindfulness-based aerobic exercise. However, the evidence on effects of TCC practice mindfulness has been controversial. The aim this study was to explore whether with an emphasis interoceptive awareness could improve levels in healthy adult population. Sixty-one adults without mind-body experience were divided into and control groups. Participants group received classic Yang-style supervised for 8 weeks, whereas those did not receive any intervention. Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire Multidimensional Assessment Interoceptive Awareness administrated at baseline, end week 8, 24. In terms mindfulness, significant interaction between time found describing, acting awareness, nonjudging, nonreactivity. For there marginally attention regulation, self-regulation, trust. significantly improved above-mentioned dimensions awareness. Moreover, we still observed increased nonjudging trusting This indicated that 8-week component increase levels, which be 24th week. These findings are great significance health treating emotional disorders utilizing as alternative complementary medicine.
